Stephen Toomey
Stephen commenced practice in 1974 and has over 45 years of experience specialising in all aspects of commercial law. He became a founding partner of the firm in 1987.
Stephen advises clients on a wide variety of issues involving trade and commerce, compliance, finance and property. He has particular expertise in the drafting, administration and negotiation of contracts, the structuring of commercial transactions and the establishment, and conduct, of commercial enterprises and not-for-profits.
Stephen provides astute strategic advice in relation to the complexities of the Australian commercial landscape.
He is invigorated by helping clients resolve difficult legal problems.
His experience includes:

Stephen has worked extensively with a large range of institutions including companies, trade associations, cooperatives and charities, advising on their formation, restructure, governance and conduct. Stephen advises clients in a wide variety of industries and sectors including horticulture, engineering, education, building, timber, property leasing and development and the particular commercial requirements of large not-for-profits and churches.
